Mahabs homestay Villa

The place is about 2km from the beach, so getting there isn’t very easy. Still, the stay was comfortable. Gautam was welcoming and supportive, lent us his scooter for an early morning beach ride, and arranged a good auto for sightseeing. We really liked the excellent homemade food. The kitchen is equipped, though a few sachets of ready-to-drink tea would have been useful. It would suit a group of five or a family with kids.

Mr. Gowtham was cooperative and helpful, handing over both the house and main gate keys so we had complete privacy. He also bought groceries when we asked, and our stay was comfortable overall during the couple of nights we spent there. It’s an independent house with one bedroom containing two queen size beds, plus a hall, kitchen, and bathroom. The kitchen has a gas stove, oven, fridge, and basic utensils. Homemade food can be prepared on request. We asked for tawa fish, fish curry, and rice for our family of four. It was tasty and the fish was well marinated, though we felt the tawa fish cost more than at top restaurants. We’d like to visit again in the near future.

The location is serene, and you can hear birds in the morning, which is a lovely way to wake up. The rooms were clean, neat, and comfortable, and the host was amazing, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Their homemade food was very tasty. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Mahabalipuram.

Mahabs homestay villa was such an amazing place for a peaceful weekend, whether you’re with family or as a couple. It’s cheap and good, with things like a gas stove and Refrigerator provided. The organiser, Gowtham, was a really nice, kind-hearted guy and made us comfortable.
