Mamalla Beach Resort

We stayed briefly from Feb 26-28. The food and beach view were great, and the location is lovely with a huge property. But the buildings and rooms weren’t maintained properly, and the photos here give a different impression.

The suite rooms were spacious, comfortable, and had the essentials, and even with higher holiday weekend rates, the location and family celebration made the stay worthwhile. The team was flexible and helpful with our plans, including a birthday or family gathering, a candlelit dinner for a couple, and a table set aside for us on the sea-facing lawn. Dinner had a good selection, especially the seafood that was available that day. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian buffets cost the same, though, which didn’t feel fair when choosing only vegetarian food. Separate prices would make more sense. A couple of things need attention: neither of our rooms had a bathroom floor mat, and housekeeping should make sure those are provided. The reception and welcome were decent but could be better. Still, Mamalla Beach Resort worked well for a family beach break and celebration.

We had a really nice family stay here. It felt safe, the room price was reasonable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The resort is in a lovely spot right by the beach, though some parts feel a little dated. There was a good food selection. We ate vegetarian dishes and enjoyed them, and I imagine the non-veg options were good too. The pool was nice, with acceptable chlorine levels. I also noticed several corporate events taking place. Thanks to Rajeev, the manager, for keeping things well organized.

The private beach was lovely, and the food was good, with generous portions at reasonable prices. Breakfast was good too, and room service was quick. The location suited the quiet beach break I wanted, with plenty of space around the property. Even from our window in a room without a sea view, I could see the waves. The weekend brought one big disturbance: very loud music from the neighboring resort played for most of Saturday evening. Housekeeping was the other letdown. We stayed three nights, but the room wasn’t cleaned unless we asked. I requested extra cups because the ones in the room had been used, but nobody brought any, so I had to wash one myself. Service felt careless, which is why I rated it poorly. I’d still recommend the place for its beach, location, and food if small details like these don’t bother you.
