6th Element Cottages

During our two-day stay, getting water for bathing and using the washroom was a struggle every morning. We had to ask several times, and each request turned into an argument. Staff said, “There are 2-3 rooms, it's running out,” which isn't acceptable. Water should be a basic, easy-to-access amenity. A very disappointing stay.

We got no refund, and when we arrived a group of cops raided the same cottage over some illegal acts by owner lady Ravleen. The rooms we were first shown at 3 pm were unhygienic and shady, so we took alternative rooms in front of those, which were much better by comparison. The owner lady Ravleen wasn't available to guests and wouldn't listen to requests. One of the worst properties in manali. Never visit this place. It felt worse than a public toilet.

The views from the location were good, and the rooms themselves were just average. The rest of the stay was a mess. There was no working room telephone, and although the owner gave us her contact number, responses were very slow. Nobody responded promptly about meals, which were disappointing. Most curries tasted burnt, the food had little flavor and was barely edible, and they didn't seem to have a professional cook. I was so concerned about it that I thought eating there could make us sick and ruin the trip. The place was dirty throughout. Staff were unprofessional and kept asking for tips before finishing their work. The cleaning boy only made the bed and left the floor dirty; when I asked about it, they made excuses. I lost my Titan wrist watch in the room, and I'm sure the cleaning person stole it. They seemed greedy and always after extra tips. We booked a honeymoon package, but got only a small 50₹ cake. The candlelight dinner had no candles, and when I complained they brought small birthday candles. I don't know if they understand these basic KRAs. My whole trip was ruined, and I strongly recommend people never stay here. For reference, please find attached snaps and videos.

That online premium room booking got us a dumpster instead. No toiletry kits either, just a super disappointing stay 😒.
