Echor Himalayan Aurum Resort & Spa, Manali

Akshay made this stay feel like being welcomed into a home. He looked after the little details, helped us throughout, and treated us like family. From arrival until we left, the whole staff made us feel comfortable and special. The service and hospitality were wonderful, and this was truly one of the best stays of our lives. We're leaving with lovely memories and full hearts, and already hope to come back soon. We'd recommend it very highly.

The place is beautifully built, but cleanliness and everyday upkeep were serious problems. After a three-day stay, floors still need sweeping and mopping; linens should be changed between guests, and shampoo and toiletries should be replenished before check-in. Staff need hotel service training, whether from education, experience, or coaching. At the very least, they should greet guests with a smile. They're getting by because this is a tourist destination, but there was no sense of class. The prices are like a 3-4 star property, while the cleaning and staff behaviour felt like a budget OYO hotel. I've seen several reviews raising staff behaviour too. The replies are standard polite promises to improve, but I don't think anything has changed, and my feedback is much the same.

We stayed four nights and had a pleasant time. The pool was open and looked well maintained, and the staff were very good and cooperative. Rooms are spacious and have a nice view. Breakfast was just okay, though the a la carte food was good. It's a little away from Mall Road, so having your own or a hired vehicle helps.

The quiet setting surrounded by nature made this a lovely break from city life. Echor Aurum Manali is well kept, and our clean, spacious room was very comfortable. Staff were polite and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. We also enjoyed the food and its good range of choices. The service and peaceful atmosphere made the stay memorable, and I'd happily recommend the place for a relaxing getaway. I hope to return.
