From the window, the view was stunning, and the rooms were roomy, furnished, and well maintained. The property is in Prini, about 5 km from Mall Road in Manali. There’s parking, and although there’s no food service, they do have a kitchen and gave us a heater and an extra quilt. The toilet could have been cleaner.

The food was excellent, especially the homestyle cooking, and the staff were very welcoming. The area has a nice view and is very clean. You’ll need a vehicle to get there. If you plan to walk from Manali town, expect an uphill hike of about an hour.

Ask for a premium suite before booking and confirm what’s included in the price. Otherwise, you may end up in a basic ground-floor room, and the difference could spoil the stay you expected. The rooms don’t all have the same look or facilities. There are bath tubs, but water scarcity meant they couldn’t be used, which is frustrating when you’d expect plenty of water in Manali. Breakfast was the same aloo paratha every day, so don’t expect much variety. There are no fans or AC, and a heater costs 400 per day.

Most days it’s so peaceful here that you can hear the Beas river. The mountain views are lovely, and being in Prini, Manali means it’s away from the bustle of Mall Road. The owner was kind and accommodating, and service was good. The food didn’t quite meet expectations, but for a quiet stay, this is a good spot.

The food was excellent, and they’ll even make something to suit your choice. Staff and the owner were cooperative too. A lovely place to stay, with good views from the rooms.
