Himalayan Cottages Manali by OYO Rooms

We stayed for two days and seemed to get a room in the new building. It was clean and nice, with a beautiful hill view from the window. The food was fairly good. The hotel is quite far from the main city, though, and getting around can mean dealing with traffic during the busy tourist months.

We left before our stay was over because of the staff’s behavior. The kitchen service was awful, staff had no manners or regard for customers, and the meals were very poor. During breakfast, for the first time, I was told some items were out of stock. The bathrooms stank, the rooms smelled, and the staff were the worst.

The room was dusty and poorly maintained, with broken furniture. Food was badly cooked and hygiene wasn’t maintained. Room service was very bad, and the receptionist didn’t answer questions about it. The food was average too. A very bad experience.

Terrible service. Breakfast starts late in the morning, though the staff are very good. They make the telephone unreachable, and there’s no parking for cars. Digital payment isn’t available, and paying by card means a 12% deduction.
