The approach road was in very poor condition, and getting to Hotel Samita Grand was difficult and uncomfortable. It’s outside Mall Road, and the location is a major drawback for tourists. Over our three-day stay, staff behavior and service felt careless and unprofessional. We asked for the balcony to be cleaned on the first day, but nobody did it during the entire stay. Room service was pathetic. Food was the worst part. Quality was very poor, the same limited choices repeated every day, and the breakfast menu never changed. The taste ranged from average to bad. Veg and non-veg dishes were put on the same table, with no separation or labels on the serving bowls, which was unacceptable and unhygienic. The room interiors looked good and the balcony view was average, but those positives don’t make up for the service, food, and location. My ratings: room 6/10, view 6/10, food quality 4/10, variety 4/10, service 3/10, staff 3/10, and overall recommendation 4/10. Hotel Samita Grand may look attractive in photos, but it falls badly short in guest handling, food management, and service. I wouldn’t recommend it unless staff training, food quality, hygiene, and access improve.

The hotel sits in a peaceful spot away from the main crowds, yet close enough to Mall Road to explore town. Mountain and valley views added to the stay, and the price felt reasonable. The access road is a little uneven, though manageable by taxi or private vehicle. Our room at The Samita Grand, Manali was clean, spacious, and well maintained, with comfortable bedding and proper amenities. Hot water was available all day, which matters in the cold. Staff were courteous, responsive, and cooperative, and housekeeping was timely and satisfactory. Food was decent in taste and quantity, with enough menu options, though restaurant hygiene and service efficiency could improve. I found it comfortable and good value for money. It’s a good option for families, couples, and other travellers who want scenic surroundings at a reasonable price. Better dining service and approach roads could make the guest experience even better.

A very unpleasant stay. The receptionist was rude, and service was extremely poor. Tea, coffee, and food weren’t available when needed during the day. Housekeeping was bad, and the rooms weren’t properly maintained. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We had a great time with our group of 15. Girdhari ji hosted us with professionalism and was quick to help, so it felt like home. The food was amazing and arrived hot every time. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.

I booked a room for 10 to 13 Oct 25, but checked out at midnight on 10 Oct 25 because the experience was the worst. The property lacked basic amenities and didn’t meet the terms and conditions of a 1 star hotel, let alone 4-star standards. Please look at the photos I’m sharing. There were many problems: no bathroom slippers, hand towels, liquid soap, or drinking water; Wi-Fi didn’t work; blankets smelled; and the room wasn’t cleaned properly, even after I checked. There was no welcome kit, buffet at breakfast or dinner, and the food tasted awful. Staff were rude, and the TV didn’t work. Friends, this is a genuine review to help you avoid suffering as we did during winter with children. I won’t stay there again. Please check the photos and see for yourself. I’d give it only 0.5 stars. Thanks.
