DJ and Roma are laid-back but professional, and their family, friends, and dogs made me feel included so easily. The team really feels like a family. Food, guests, and hospitality were all excellent, and people from other hostels came over to Young Monk to hang out, eat, and try for a bed. I’d booked two nights and stayed five. It’s the best hostel in Manali, with a great location and vibe, and I’d happily return or recommend it. There is an uphill walk on a narrow path, and cars can’t drive right up to the property. For me, that was a small price to pay. Thanks for having me!

The rooms were clean and fine for sleeping, though on the small side and not furnished with much. The bathroom was clean too, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The owner was very nice, as were the other guests, and there’s a great chill-out café above the rooms. Nights could be a little cold. They don’t provide towels, since it’s mainly for backpackers. My friend and I enjoyed staying here.

Young Monk really brings people together. I booked two nights and found it hard to leave. The staff were so kind and helpful, and their service was great. There’s a lovely viewpoint, plus clean rooms and super-comfy mattresses. Definitely worth a stay.

The view is great, and the rooftop café is decent, just make sure you order before it closes. The rooms and dorms were clean and good. We arrived late at night, and the caretaker welcomed us and helped us find the hostel. At night, there’s no clear sign to guide you. I’d suggest the host put a light along the pathway to help people find their way.

We spent two weeks here in July. It’s near the main market in old Manali, but tucked away enough to be peaceful. The hosts are friendly and available to help with questions. The meal package came with buffet-style service, tasty food, and a good variety. They also arrange weekend treks or trips.
