Coming back after three to four years, I was struck by how much the property had changed. The renovations have made a big difference, and the water park, sea access, and beautiful setting give the resort a much stronger atmosphere. It now feels like a great place for a coastal break. I did have a couple of concerns. The rate on MakeMyTrip was about 30% below the direct booking price. I understand prices can vary, but that was a sizeable gap for someone booking directly, so it's worth comparing third-party rates before reserving. There was also a billing issue after my 2.5-year-old accidentally broke a side plate during a meal. I was fine with being charged for it, though at other high-end resorts I've stayed at, small accidents by toddlers have sometimes been waived as a hospitality gesture. What bothered me more was being asked to pay through a personal QR code and receiving a handwritten note instead of an official invoice. That felt out of step with the luxury feel the renovations are trying to create.

The peaceful evenings by the beach were my favorite part of the trip. Dolphin Beach Resort Mandarmani has lovely surroundings, tasty food with plenty of fresh choices, and a relaxing feel. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the sea view was beautiful. The beach is only a few steps away. Staff were always cheerful, friendly, and ready to help. A lovely choice for families, couples, or anyone wanting a quiet ocean getaway.

Before visiting, I tried several times to arrange multiple rooms for our group. I called the number they provided and sent messages asking for room details, but they never called back or gave enough information. Their WhatsApp replies were unprofessional, too. This poor communication made for a horrible experience before we'd even reached the resort. It gave me the impression they didn't care about potential guests.

The pool doesn't open until 12 PM, so guests checking out early or on the same day can't use it. No other resort in the area had this rule. I stayed at the nearby Prime resort, and they never restricted pool use before noon.

The location is the only good thing about this property. The food wasn't tasty, even compared with roadside food, and the service was very bad. One of the worst hotels in Mandarmani, and I wouldn't recommend it.
