The Candlewood Park Beach Resort

We visited 26Feb-1Mar 2026. The BEACH SHACK is the resort’s usp for me, with gumtis, recliners, and a direct view of the gorgeous beach. Food was very good, especially the fresh kebabs from the live counter after 6pm. Service was excellent too. They assign almost a valet-like person to each room and treat you like royalty. Ours was ABHIJIT MONDOL, a delightful young chap. The property has two sections. Foresta is the newer block, beautifully decorated and landscaped, but without a sea view. Conifer is the older, beach-facing part, with slightly dated rooms. Higher-level rooms get a partial sea view and are excellent in size. The advertised minibars/fridge have been removed, and the bathrooms are just about functional.

We stayed in a pool-view room in the Forestta wing. It was spacious and comfortable, and we loved the verandah and the wing’s aesthetic. The beach is only 2 mins away through their old resort, and there’s almost a private beach with a kind of shack where you can order grills. A beautiful place with great hospitality, excellent food, and top-notch service. It can be compared with any international beach resort.

The staff were courteous, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, which really added to our stay at Candlewood Beach Resort, Mandarmani. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities. Everything, from the rooms to the common areas, was impeccably clean. The resort is right by the beach, with lovely views and a peaceful atmosphere. Facilities were top-notch, and for the service, location, and amenities, it’s absolutely value for money. Highly recommended for a relaxing beachside retreat.

The cottages where we stayed were excellent, with furniture that suited the decor. The owner/designer brought some of their best ideas to the rooms. We were impressed by the curated green cover, with large trees, plants, and shrubs. The greenery was absolutely stunning. We had a fantastic two-night stay in the 1st week of Jan'26. The resort has two parts, one elevated and closer to the beach, and another with a beautiful pool, hall, and decor. Staff and service were prompt and polite, and there’s a large restaurant/dining hall. One of our best stays so far.
