Desert Resort Mandawa

The air is clean, the surroundings are pristine, and the night sky is packed with stars. December is especially magical, with perfect weather. Desert Mandawa belongs to a royal family and offers a peaceful, authentic desert stay. The experience feels warm and homely, with freshly cooked food and plenty of activities that balance relaxation with things to do. A unique place for royal hospitality, desert charm, and natural beauty all together. Highly recommended.

What stands out most is the resort’s design and attention to detail, giving you a ‘mud hut’ stay with modern amenities. The staff are very attentive. There’s no WiFi in the rooms, but you can head to reception and use it while sipping a cocktail, so it’s not a big deal. Food and drink choices are somewhat limited and expensive, though still dirt cheap. Mandawa is a 10-minute TukTuk ride away.

I’ve been trying to sort this out with Shivaarjun for over two weeks. He says he owns the property, but there’s been no clear answer, only repeated excuses about “checking with the team” after he asked me to keep following up. If the answer is no, just say so instead of wasting my time. Keeping me waiting for 15 days with false hope and no accountability is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. This communication is embarrassing and shows no basic professionalism, standards, or maturity. Respecting people’s time is not optional. It’s a SHAME. Stop this.

I’d avoid booking here for New Year or another holiday period. The resort may be worth considering in the off season, but it doesn’t feel like good value for money. Breakfast was the exception; the lunch and dinner didn’t seem to be made by professional chefs.
