Treebo The Horizon Kankanady

The cleaning crew was very polite and did a great job, cleaning the room properly every day. The rooms themselves were spacious, clean, and full of sunlight, with excellent amenities. I stayed for five days and the room was very good. Service could be better, though. The reception staff showed no warmth or politeness, and the reception area is cramped. The room is as advertised for 3-star, but the service was less than satisfactory. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special.

At ₹3,000 a night, the price felt steep, especially since my room had no sofa or fridge. The toiletries were basic too, just a bar of soap and no dental kit or toothpaste. It felt like a premium price for amenities that weren't included. The rooms at Treebo The Horizon Kankanadi were spacious and very clean. Service felt impersonal, though: I was handed a key at reception and left to find my own room, with no one showing me where it was. The hotel has advantages, and I'd consider staying again if they addressed some of these issues. They could perhaps offer room types at different prices or include more amenities in the rate.

The location is decent, but traffic from the busy road kept waking us up. The service was okay, and it felt almost like an adult hostel. I skipped breakfast, so I can't comment on it. If this place were advertised at 1-1.5k per night, it might be worth it. Above that, better properties with the right service levels are available. If you book here and they pressure you to pay immediately, tell them to cancel the booking. Even INR 2k a night feels generous, and the 3-4k charge isn't justified by the service. The room was clean-ish, but for two nights we got only one small bar of soap and no shampoo. They said they don't provide shampoo when asked. There was no fridge or sofa, the pillow covers were dirty, and towels and other things were subpar. It looked like a lot of it had been bought cheaply from other hotels that were closing. The WiFi was pathetic, so my friend and I used our hotspots the whole time.

The rooms were big, but the facilities didn't justify the high price. We'd made a last-minute plan and chose this place, though there are other options with an in-house kitchen. This one has no in-house kitchen, and breakfast had few choices and no milk. The service and staff behaviour were the worst part, very arrogant.
