We never actually checked in, but the receptionist had already marked us as checked in, so OYO initially said it couldn’t refund us. After a long argument, they agreed to return the money. We left right away and booked another hotel. We had booked two AC rooms with breakfast through OYO. At arrival, the staff member offered us one non-AC room with two beds and no breakfast, then simply said they didn’t have what we’d booked. The rooms were very dirty, and the two men at reception had no manners. I don’t consider this safe for families, so avoid it if your family’s safety matters to you.

The caretaker is there, and the rooms are clean. It’s a good vacation option if you’re on a tight budget. Arbi falls is behind the hotel, and everything else was perfectly fine. Just remember the doors are closed at 10 at night, so get back before then.

I came to drop my daughter at MIT. The lodge room price was good, so the distance was manageable, but MIT campus is about 2.6 km away. An auto costs around Rs 40-60 to get there, or you can take the bus for Rs 10 to Manipal bus stand, about 800 m away from MIT. Near the lodge, Swathi restaurants and bar serves very good vegetarian food. The owner was great and helpful, and the restaurant staff were helpful too.

I booked through OYO, and I’m never using them again. The hotel is badly maintained and full of mosquitos. They have Wi-Fi, but reception wouldn’t give us the password when we asked. When the power goes out, they don’t even turn on the generator. This place deserves a negative star.

Very bad experience. The boarding app showed Rs 234, but the hotel charged Rs 400. The room wasn’t good or clean, and I felt awful, so I checked out within an hour.
