Coastal Grand La Flora

The staff were polite, helpful, and really good, and our spacious, well-kept room gave us the privacy we needed. The property was clean and peaceful, with a cozy feel that suited a weekend getaway. Nearby attractions were a bit far, so it’s better to have your own two or four wheeler. We had a comfortable, memorable stay.

The beach is within walking distance, and the pool was a big bonus, refreshing and beautifully kept. The team were warm and helpful, and the well-maintained property made everything feel smooth and comfortable. We had a really good stay and loved it.

The owner was friendly, responsive, and quick to guide us when we needed help. But that didn’t make the room livable. The walls were water-logged, and there was a strong unpleasant smell that made sleeping a struggle. We booked Coastal Grand, Pondicherry after being impressed by the Google photos, but they don’t reflect the hotel you actually stay in. I tried to give 0.5 stars, but that option wasn’t available, so this is a 1⭐ rating strictly for the owner’s behavior, not the stay. Lesson learned: don’t judge it by the photos. They look like they’re from an alternate reality.

The location is great, with the beach, café stretch, and fun spots all within walking distance. The deep pool was my favourite, calm and perfect for long swims. Everything was kept really clean, the vibe was cool, and the owner was considerate. The people were friendly, too. Honestly, I had such a good stay and would definitely recommend it.
