Lamel Cove Beach Resort

The beachfront rooms were peaceful, with lovely views, and the kids’ garden was beautifully kept. Our room was spotless and hygienically maintained. Service was just as good, with warm, professional staff and impeccable room service. The cuisine deserves a mention too, refined and full of flavor, with excellent quality. Lamel Clove Resort is a luxurious, relaxing place by the beach. Highly recommended for comfort and elegance.

The dining was a real plus for us. Prices were lower than at restaurants outside, and the food quality was excellent, so eating in felt like the better deal. We also appreciated the attentive staff, who went out of their way to help. With private beach access and no unwanted crowds, it felt peaceful, exclusive, and safe for the family. A once-in-a-lifetime kind of place that you have to explore if you want a quiet getaway.

Room service was a highlight: attentive, polite, and quick, a 5/5 from me. There’s car parking, and the garden-surrounded rooms looked well kept. We stayed in Room No. 505, with a direct sea view and the waves audible all the time, which was wonderful. The peaceful setting made the resort’s high price feel worthwhile, but room upkeep needs work. Several hangers and wall shelves were loose and kept falling. Food was disappointing for the cost: the fried rice lacked flavor, naan and chicken gravies need improvement, and the coffee wasn’t drinkable. The food prices felt far too high for that quality. A beautiful view and great staff, but the maintenance and food need significant improvement to match the price.

The spacious rooms, good food, and very hospitable restaurant staff were positives, but the stay was still inconvenient because of poor upkeep and a lack of hospitality elsewhere. The garbage heaps near the restaurant and washroom, and by the gate to the beach, were unacceptable. We arrived early after a long journey and needed somewhere to freshen up. They charged Rs. 1200 for a spare room, even though I suspect our booked room may already have been available. The common washroom they offered was surrounded by garbage and mosquitoes, so we paid for the spare room. The towels were wet and dirty, even after we asked for replacements, and there was no wash basin in that bathroom, so we had to use the one by the garbage. When our booked room was ready, it had a used quilt cover and a broken AC remote. At night the pathways were poorly lit, so we asked reception to bring our online food delivery to the room. The desk staff rudely declined instead of helping or politely saying no. I booked after reading good reviews, but was disappointed by the welcome. This is feedback, and the property could do better.
