Hotel Hathili

I started with three stars for the ambience and décor, but after this experience I dropped it to one. If negative ratings were possible, that's what I'd give. I rated the place based on what happened to me, and its earlier replies to reviews make it seem like criticism isn't accepted. Please check the facts before replying online or making claims about customers. Haithili Hotel, stop accusing customers of asking for discounts. My bill was ₹700 for a plate of Sada Dosa, a plate of Mysore Masala Dosa, hot coffee, and cold coffee. I can share a GPay screenshot if proof is needed. Why would I ask for a discount on that bill? The Mysore Masala Dosa was also misleading. I expected the authentic version with crushed beetroot in the masala, but got a regular masala dosa with the usual yellow potato filling instead.

Eating with hungry kids was really tough because the food took so long. The rotis alone took over half an hour, and getting our table cleaned took 15 minutes. Service was extremely slow, and the staff seemed unprofessional. We weren't even given proper cutlery. The manager or owner didn't seem concerned about any of it. Since it's near the temple, I'd look at other options. I hope they address the service.

The OWNER (Mr. NILESH JI were very well behaved and gave us quality service, which made the stay more memorable. I had a really good, even amazing, overnight stay for Mahakal Darshan. A must-stay place when visiting Ujjain.

Only the ambience was okay. Nobody even asked if we wanted water when we arrived, and the service was terrible. The food was tasteless and seemed old-style. The staff clearly didn't care about guests. Such a waste of money, I wouldn't recommend it. One star feels like too much.
