The one real plus was hot water around the clock. There are also a few food options nearby, though there’s no food available here. Cleanliness needs a lot of work: the rooms smelled, the wooden furniture had water damage, and the walls looked damp. There were no bins or mats, and no proper reception area. The road in is narrow and tucked away, so having a vehicle seems important. Rates are usually ₹600-700, but can jump to ₹1,600 on long weekends. For the venue, that price doesn’t feel justified.

The manager was genuinely nice and even tried to cancel our OYO booking for us after we arrived and realized how far away the guest house was. It’s about 10 km from town, and with no street lights, we didn’t feel safe getting there at night or that the location would work for us. The guest house itself is new and nice. If safety isn’t a major concern for you, you could book it.

It’s set away from town, but the room was clean and the AC worked properly. Hot water came from the taps, and there’s parking for a few bikes and a car. The workers were polite. There’s no Wi-Fi, though a TV with some Airtel channels is provided. My Idea mobile service had 4G there.

The rooms could be kept neater, but otherwise the hotel was fine. It’s about 10 km outside the city centre and far from Rock Beach, so having your own vehicle makes it a good option. Pondicherry is a small city, after all.
