There were no dining facilities or service staff, and no nearby restaurants apart from a roadside Dabba where someone served delicious dosas and idlies. The water quality wasn't good, though the room itself was neat and clean. I got the impression they had 40+ inventory, and I hope I was the only guest. I only used the room to wash and change for three hours, so overall I wasn't happy.

The building is new, but there was no Wi-Fi, no proper reception desk, no phone extension, and no food facility. There were no houses or shops nearby, so in an emergency you couldn't even reach management. The room's sofa was dusty, there was no air freshener, the AC leaked water, and both TV remotes used the same battery. There was no security or sense of safety. We'd originally booked in Pondicherry (Auroville) after checking everything. Two days before our trip, an Oyo representative called and asked us to choose another hotel due to renovation issues. They helped us book this one, Purple Lake View, 16 kms from Auroville, because it looked comfortable despite having no facilities nearby. We arrived at 4 pm. There was only one person at the hotel, with no computer to check our details, and he seemed very unhappy we'd come. The room matched the pictures, so we were pleased and planned to shower before sightseeing after our long journey. But the running water was dirty and greenish-yellow. Management said they'd just switched on the water motor and it would take time, so we went out at 5 pm without bathing. We returned at 10 pm and the water was still yellow. Management wouldn't respond when we asked them to check. There's no extension phone, only a personal number that was always busy. Oyo support didn't resolve it either. After a support agent spoke to the manager, he came over, said that was just the color of their water, then rudely turned on the tap and held my phone under it so the agent could hear the flow. My problem was the water's color, not its flow, and my phone got wet. Oyo marked the complaint as a no-water issue and closed it without checking with me. It made me feel they cared only about money, not customer satisfaction. After trying to get usable water until 11:30 pm, we went to sleep without showers. The power went out after midnight and stayed off from 12:30 am to 5 am. We felt so unsafe that we considered calling the police. We checked out early in the morning, then with help from the previous hotel's representative found a room where we could shower, and left within two hours. The hotel representative was Gilbert. The management person was so rude, and this hotel ruined our whole trip. Very, very bad experience.

The hospitality was poor, and the staff were arrogant. Even though we gave notice well ahead, getting four rooms ready took three hours. The bathroom water was dirty, and the electricity fluctuated all night, so the AC didn't work properly. The room was spacious but badly laid out, with the washbasin right by the entrance. There's no restaurant, and breakfast arrived at 11:00 from somewhere far away. By the way, don't book through OYO.

The water was yellow, there were no lights in the toilet, and the water heater gave an electric shock. The bathroom wasn't clean, and the place wasn't maintained. There's no lighting in front of the hotel, which sits midway through a forest. They redirected us to a newly built building. The people handling contacts were very bad at attending to guests. This is the worst hotel, and I wouldn't suggest coming here.
