Country Inn and Suites By Carlson Meerut

We spent quite a long time here and had a good stay. The rooftop pool is 4 ft deep, and there’s also a gym with some good machines and a spa. Breakfast and dinner are generally buffets, with some healthy options. I stayed in a Superior Room, which was spacious and had all the amenities; the washroom was good too. Maintenance and room service were prompt. The main annoyances were a slow checkout and access cards that sometimes didn’t work.

The restaurant staff were helpful, and the food was tasty. I especially liked the tandoori naan and parantha, and there’s a good range of cuisines for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The room and bathroom were both spacious, clean, and in good shape, and check-in went smoothly. It’s centrally located on the Old Meerut Delhi Highway, not the new bypass, though the approach off the highway is a bit narrow. My main issue was room service: whenever I ordered something during my stay, it took a long time. It wasn’t terrible, just not very good. For the price, I felt my money was fairly spent, and it’s a nice place.

The rooms were quiet and good quality, and I rated them, along with service, aroma, and hygiene, 5/5. But our stay was spoiled by the manager’s conduct. He first offered a cheaper room, then when we arrived late at night, demanded an exorbitant amount, which we felt forced to pay. That left a bad impression, and I can’t recommend the hotel. Staff: 0/5.

Mr. Ravi, the marketing manager, is a pillar of this hotel. He can arrange everything within a couple of hours, and he’s a really good employee. I’ve held all my parties and events here and have sweet memories of the place. The rooms are clean and tidy, the rates are quite good for Meerut, and I’m totally satisfied with the service. I’d give it 101%.
