We were exhausted after traveling from Calicut when we checked in at 11:00 PM, but the check-in turned into a pointless late-night argument. Both room keys were eventually handed over, which should have happened without the drama. We had booked through Goibibo: one AC room for single occupancy and one Non-AC room for triple occupancy. A fourth person was due from Ernakulam at 5:00 AM, as we'd already told them. The staff initially said they'd give us only one key, making three of us share one room until the fourth person arrived, when they would “release” the AC room. We weren't trying to put all three people in the AC room, but they treated us like we were cheating the system. The experience at Hotel Metro Regency was rigid, unprofessional, and extremely uncomfortable. There was no hospitality, and guests shouldn't be harassed over rooms they've paid for, especially at night. Management needs to take strict action and train the staff properly. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
