Golden Sands Resort

Vikas and the whole team were always on hand and really supportive. The place is simple and small, with nothing fancy, but it made us feel comfortable. Morjim beach is within walking distance, with shacks around it. I also saw places in the neighborhood that felt like mini Russia, and there was a mix of Indian and Russian guests.

We left at 4 pm, right after a group of boys arrived by bus. They hung their underwear outside the cottage, shouted and swore, and behaved in a way that made us uncomfortable. It was a horrible stay. Families, please avoid this resort. The crowd here felt cheap.

The wooden cottages were a highlight, and our room was spotless. Breakfast was fresh and had lots to choose from. Everyone on staff was genuinely welcoming, so we had an amazing, relaxing stay at Golden Sand Resort. Highly recommend it.

The property itself was good and it’s near the beach, but I wouldn’t stay again. They didn’t ask us for ID at check-in or later, which felt strange and fishy, as if we were staying as ghosts. Also, the waiter from Nepal acted like he owned the place. At the breakfast buffet we asked him for a simple omelet and he refused, saying we could only have what was already there. About 20 minutes later, another group asked and he made one for them. I was furious enough to say that in my city I would have smashed the guy right there. There was no clear record of our orders during the day either. I asked for bills to sign as proof, as hotel managers usually provide, but staff just said they’d written everything in the register.
