The price was good and so was the food. Staff were friendly, too, but the guest house is new, and the building is still being constructed inside. It’s in a residential area and has no signboards. The name is difficult to pronounce, which makes finding it from hospital chowk hard. The owner has turned a home into a hotel, and some basics are still missing, like a room phone to reach reception. My stay was somewhere between bad and good, but not very good.

I ended up arranging a stay in a marriage hall because there were no rooms left in the city. I’d booked this hotel online 13 days ahead for the BPSC teacher recruitment exam, and the booking was confirmed. On exam day, they refused to give me a room and said I could claim a refund from the booking website. They’d given my booked room to someone else for three times the booking price. They didn’t honor the online reservation, and the owner seemed completely money-minded. I’d advise calling them to book rather than booking online, or your trip could be wasted.

This place had just opened a month ago, and I wish them all the success. The owner and staff were friendly, and the service was top notch. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, homemade food was available, and there was a geyser and electric kettle. The price was literally incomparable. They also offer pick-up and drop-off, which very few hotels do. WiFi was included, though it didn’t work properly during my visit. It’s a little far from the main market and station area, and the bed mattress could be better. I strongly recommend it.

The manager was very friendly, and the staff were cooperative. They agreed to give us a ground floor room because my mother was ill. The hotel is about 1 km from the main road, which is the only issue. Everything else was fine, and I even got an AC room despite booking a non-AC one. It’s a good hotel at a budget price in Motihari. I’d say go for it. Four stars because there’s always room to improve.
