Babbar's Den- An Elegant Homestay

The staff are polite and helpful, and it feels safe for couples. A beautiful, friendly place for the price range.

The cave room was excellent, and the service was just as good. The owner was kind, polite and supportive.

For four people, they charged us an extra 8,000. The place was filthy: damp walls, smelly toilets, sticky switches covered in black dirt and spots. Everything I looked at seemed dirty, from the bed and table to the taps, glass, blanket and towel. I didn't feel like touching anything. Don't rely on the pictures they post online, they seem meant to mislead. We booked this homestay for 15-16August, but it should be called a pathetic stay. Minus rating from me.

The food was awesome, home-cooked, and the room with the den was beautiful and very unusual. Our room also had a working geyser and running water all day. The homestay is near the market and Nakkhi lake. The rooms are good, though they need some upkeep: one TV didn't work, and without an intercom we had to go to reception whenever we needed service. It could be great with a few improvements.
