Ashoka Mount Abu Hotel

For two nights, the comfortable-enough bed and decent-sized room did the job, and the location was handy, just a short walk from Nakki Lake and the main market. It’s a budget-friendly place for someone who needs a basic room and doesn’t expect luxury, modern amenities, or especially good service. The hotel feels dated, the furniture is worn, and the bathroom needs updating. Staff weren’t unfriendly, but service was only okay, and we had to ask more than once for extra towels. There was hot water, though the pressure was very low. I also regret booking here. Our room was dusty and the sheets were stained when we arrived. The online photos seemed much older than the actual place. We had to ask for clean sheets, and the staff seemed annoyed. The bathroom smelled bad, with mold in the shower corners. There was no hot water on the first day, and reception just told us to wait when we complained. Street noise came through the windows and made it hard to sleep. The place felt neglected and poorly maintained, and we left a day early because we couldn’t stand it. I’d advise looking elsewhere, as there are much better places in Mount Abu for a similar price.

The staff are courteous and helpful, and the atmosphere feels relaxing and pleasant. I’d definitely visit again.

We left at 7 in the morning, but nobody was there to open the main door. The guys sleeping outside reception only peeped out and made sure we locked it again. The staff were unwelcoming and unfriendly, and didn’t seem to care whether guests stayed or left. The rooms were unclean and unhygienic, and the pictures don’t show reality. The place felt shady, with damp walls and paint peeling off.
