The location is convenient, near markets and a bus stop, and there’s a 24/7 lobby and a shared fridge. Some staff were helpful when they chose to be. My first room, 102, looked clean and smelled fine, but holes in the walls may be how rats and cockroaches got onto my bed. I showed staff rat droppings on freshly changed sheets, but they offered to move me only if I saw the rat myself. After I showed them my damaged slippers, they finally moved me to a much better room, 105. Thank God I’d booked only two nights. The rooms are spacious, and the AC, fan, lights, shower, toilet, toiletries, and towels were all in good shape. Breakfast was acceptable for the price over my two days, tea or coffee, bread and butter, or idli sambar. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, and the TV only worked with network coverage, which was mostly unavailable. The location and basic amenities are good, but cleanliness and staff responsiveness need serious improvement. Staff spend much of their time in the corridor by the lobby, chatting, scrolling on their phones, and even preparing food. Parking: no. Wheelchair access, wheelchair parking, wheelchair WC, lift, and ramp: no. Wi-Fi wasn’t reliable. They always said debit or credit cards weren’t working, but GPay and online payment were available. There was an ATM about 200m away.

We checked out early in the morning because we were uncomfortable throughout the stay. The room wasn’t ventilated, and an underground water tank they showed us wasn’t safely covered, so my partner almost tripped over it. The washroom sink pipe was leaking, and the entrance wasn’t safe for carrying luggage. Late at night, cooker whistles and other cooking activity were pretty disturbing. I know it’s a budget hotel, but they still need to manage the property professionally.

The location is good, but the hotel is dreadful and not worth the money. Room 106 had no ventilation, and the kitchen or storeroom beside it was active through the night, so guests couldn’t sleep. Workers shouted while working at that hour, and management didn’t care when I complained. They didn’t serve coffee or tea when I asked at 7:30am because they had no helping staff. Nobody checked on us before we left the room at 9:30am, so we went to another hotel for it. On 23rd Nov there was no bathing water after 8:30am, and complaining didn’t get it resolved. The food from their in-house partners tasted very bad and was super costly. It was my first time in Mumbai and a very bad hotel experience. I’m sure there are better hotels around for the same price. Avoid at any cost.

I could order food to my room, and the Chicken Dum Biryani cost 330 Rs. It was a little spicy and really tasty. The staff were all very kind, too. I stayed one night, Jan 13, 2026. The hotel name was a bit confusing: Antlers Hotel Near Borivali Railway Station on booking.com, Antlers Hotel Gorai on Uber, and Antlers Hotel Gorai on Google Maps.
