No one came to clean during our 3 days there, and the bed and mattress were uncomfortable, with a bed that was too small. There was no drinking water facility, just one litre bottle per day from room service, which was awful. The place felt cramped and had no windows or ventilation, and there were lots of cockroaches. Hygiene and service were both at zero. The person at reception was very casual and didn’t care about guest inconvenience. Never stay here.
I paid around 4000/- online through the fab hotel website for two nights, but couldn’t stay there. The room and location didn’t match the pictures, so I left with my family right after checking in, even though I’d paid in full and the booking wasn’t refundable. They should be honest about the stay for outsiders and offer at least a partial refund policy.
The broken door lock made the room feel unsafe, and management didn’t seem to care about guests’ concerns. There were cockroaches, and the refrigerator was dusty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The walls were in terrible shape, with paint peeling everywhere, and the room was very poorly maintained. I left because of these problems and wouldn’t recommend FabHotel Ascot International II.
The pictures online were completely different from the room we got, and when we asked to cancel, they refused a refund. The rooms were very dirty, with lots of cockroaches, and the bathrooms smelled bad. The shower jets leaked, and there were no towels or basic toiletries. A very bad experience.
We left six hours before our flight and wandered around Mumbai because we’d rather wait at the airport than spend another minute in that cockroach-filled place. The stay changed how I felt about India. The only good part was the two guys who checked us in, they were hospitable and kind to me and my fiancé. The location didn’t feel like a plus after what we saw. We arrived around 3pm at what looked like an abandoned mall. I saw one small cockroach in the room before we left, then two more when we came back at 10pm just to collect our things. There were also two dead ones by the lift. After we returned, bugs were still by the elevator doors, and more were running around the corridor. When we asked for some compensation because we were disgusted by the insects, the guy with glasses at reception was rude. He wouldn’t call the manager and argued that the other rooms were clean. We left the room about an hour after arriving.
