The rooms were quite decent and the food was nice. The location was okay. If you're wondering whether this hotel is inside a residential flat, it isn't; the whole building belongs to the hotel. A good place overall.

The rooms were a pleasant surprise once I went inside, and I loved my stay. The bed was clean, soft, and fresh, with an LCD, a study table, and clean cupboards. It also had a peaceful feel. From the outside, Oyo Hotel Imperial Residency looked like an old building turned into an apartment hotel, so I expected it might be just fine and probably dirty. It was worth the money, and I'd recommend it.

There were empty beer cans beside the steps and food left outside guest rooms, and neither was picked up until the next morning. The elevators barely worked: the doors closed only halfway, and I often had to push them shut myself. My wife was scared all night that someone might come into our room because so many shady-looking people were going up and down the steps. The service was awful, like nobody worked there. I called repeatedly; on the fourth try someone answered, then left me on the call. At reception I saw the phone lying on the table while the host was on his cell. It's cheap, but you get what you pay for. I can't recommend it.

I booked online based on the photos, but the room I got looked completely different. Hygiene and basic cleaning from the hotel staff were poor. OYO has definitely let its standards slip. A terrible experience.
