The only small plus during my stay at Hotel BKC Mannat, Mumbai was that some major companies are nearby. The hotel itself was awful, and I would not recommend it to anyone. It sits in a dirty, congested market area, so it was noisy and unpleasant, and the prices were far too high for what was provided. The building looked old and worn, nothing like the misleading online photos. There was hardly any maintenance. My room was tiny, cramped, and uncomfortable, more like a poorly kept lodge than a place for guests. Cleanliness was a major problem: the room wasn't properly cleaned, the verandahs were filthy, and there were gutka spits in several areas. Hygiene clearly didn't seem to matter to management. The service, cleanliness, and general standard were nowhere near worth the price. Avoid staying here if you can.

Breakfast was fairly okay, with basic South Indian choices such as idli, vada, and uttapam, plus sandwiches and puri. But my stay at Hotel BKC Mannat was disappointing. The approach was unpleasant because the hotel is in a very dirty area, right by a slum. Room upkeep was poor, and I found cockroaches all over inside. My deluxe booking didn't come with basic things like bathroom slippers, a kettle, or tea and coffee. The towels weren't clean either. It's a budget hotel, but cleanliness, maintenance, and in-room facilities all need a lot of work. I hope management makes improvements for guests.

The bell boys were polite and helpful, the only bright spot in a horrible one-night stay before my VISA INTERVIEW. I left feeling that anyone who needs hygiene or peace of mind, especially for official travel, should avoid this place completely. I rushed out of my room in the middle of the night after spotting BED BUGS crawling on the bed. The response from MANAGEMENT was casual and indifferent. I had to insist on getting CLEAN SHEETS in the second room, where I also found SAND/DIRT on the bed. The BATHROOM smelled worse than a PUBLIC TOILET. When I reported the FOUL BATHROOM SMELL, they just sprayed ROOM FRESHENER and ignored the sanitation problem underneath. The sheets were DIRTY, plumbing fixtures were LEAKY, TILES BROKEN, chairs torn, and PILLOWS had visible STAINS AND TEARS. I also had to REQUEST toilet paper. The AIR CONDITIONING was set to 16°C but felt like 28°C, and the FAN sounded like it was on its DEATHBED. Any supposed “VIEW” was only a PARTIAL SIGHT of a GARBAGE DUMP with STRAY DOGS. When I asked to speak to the MANAGER, the FRONT DESK STAFF refused to call him and said I could talk to him in the morning. The next morning, after I said how POORLY it had been handled and that I'd write a review, the manager offered a ₹500 DISCOUNT and asked me not to post anything negative because it would hurt his BUSINESS. He was DEFENSIVE, DISMISSIVE, and AGGRESSIVELY repeated there was NOTHING MORE he could do, with no ACCOUNTABILITY. If you're considering this hotel for its closeness to the airport or the US Consulate, THINK TWICE. I stayed just the one night, and it was a NIGHTMARE from start to finish.

The staff were courteous, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Service was better than I expected. For a US visa appointment in Mumbai, Hotel BKC Mannat worked really well for me: it's in the heart of BKC, minutes from the US Consulate and other key offices, which made the whole process convenient and stress-free. Good value and easy access, whether it's your first trip or a return visit. Highly recommended.

The buffet breakfast was very good, and cabs and autos were right outside. I paid for the location and got what I needed: basic amenities, which was all I expected for the price. The area is noisy, functional Mumbai. Even Ambani lives next to a slum. Keep expectations reasonable, these hotels serve corporate overnighters and visa seekers rather than luxury aficionados.
