Hotel Grace Galaxy

At around 9 PM, after travelling 24 km, we arrived at Hotel Grace Galaxy, Bandra and were told by the manager and receptionist that no booking existed. They refused to give us a room, even though we’d booked through Booking.com and called the hotel before setting out. The receptionist had confirmed it and told us to come. As a woman alone in an unfamiliar area late at night, I felt extremely helpless and unsafe. They were rude and arrogant, didn’t apologize, and made no effort to help or offer another option. They pushed us away as if it were our fault. Confirming a booking and then denying it is irresponsible and misleading, and can put guests in danger when they’re travelling at night. I strongly advise people to avoid this hotel and not trust its confirmation.

After two days at the Grace Galaxy Hotel, I’m already looking forward to planning another visit. The room was very comfortable and made it easy to relax, and I got to explore some engaging local attractions too. Check-in was efficient and welcoming, with the staff making me feel at home right away. I’d gladly recommend it for a quiet, rejuvenating escape.

For transit, the location works well, right in the middle of Bhandra with restaurants and the famous Linking Road within walking distance. The room was fairly priced and clean, and I didn’t expect much, but the bedsheets were wet, the air damp, and the floor sticky. The receptionist was rude, including to travellers like me. The shower was terrible. The water from the pipe smelled like a mix of rubbish and human waste, and I was afraid to shower. I wouldn’t recommend booking unless you’re saving a few pennies or urgently need to stay nearby.

The staff service was good, and there are decent food options about a kilometre away. The hotel is roughly 2 kms from Bandra terminus, in an apartment building in Bandra west. Reception and the restaurant are on the 4th floor, with the hotel occupying the floors above. Breakfast is served as a buffet, but the food quality needs a lot of improvement and the choices are limited. The rooms have no wardrobe, and the AC wasn’t working properly.
