Hotel Jewel of Chembur

I had a nice stay and would go again at a reasonable price, but only on a solo trip. The website price seemed much too high. I paid 5k, and in my opinion the hotel shouldn’t charge more than 4k, at the high end. There’s no pool or gym. Chembur worked well for my trip, but Mumbai is big, so choose your area carefully because getting from one place to another takes time. The rooms were clean and tidy, though a little small, which could be a problem with children. Couples can manage. The washroom was good and clean, with hot water. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful. When I couldn’t connect my laptop to the internet, they helped me get online. I didn’t like breakfast much. The scrambled egg and cholay both tasted a bit sweet to me. They also had fruit, bread and butter, boiled eggs, poha, tea and milk, so the selection was decent. There was no hotel parking that I could see, but roadside parking was available. There are local restaurants and big chains within 2 km. I’d give Hotel Jewels of Chembur 4 stars.

Rajiv’s personal involvement, quick responses, and commitment to doing things well showed throughout the service and coordination at Jewel of Chembur Hotel. The bartender served guests smoothly and courteously, the food drew glowing compliments for its taste, presentation, and variety, and the DJ kept people of all ages engaged with an excellent music selection. For my daughter’s engagement, the open-air terrace hall at Jewel of Chembur made a stunning venue, with a lovely balance of elegance, space, ambience, and comfort. Shalini and Jeetu from Amar Decorators, along with their team, brought the décor together with creativity and precision. The stage, flowers, lighting, colours, and layout all worked beautifully, creating a sophisticated but warm setting that guests repeatedly praised. The materials and finish were high quality, and everything was executed seamlessly and on time. My sincere appreciation to Amar Decorators, Shalini, Jeetu, and their entire team, and to the hotel under Mr. Rajiv’s leadership. Together, they made this a memorable, flawlessly managed celebration. I’d wholeheartedly recommend them for a premium event.

I spent 7 days here and had a good stay, especially suited to a short visit. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. The restaurant buffet had tasty food and plenty of variety, and room service was prompt and reliable. There’s laundry service for a fee, and valet parking was convenient. I’d highly recommend it for a hassle-free stay in Chembur.

For nearly ₹10,000 a night including taxes, the room felt cramped, the value fell short, and breakfast was average. I’d suggest checking online prices carefully before booking, since there are several places to stay in Chembur that may offer better value depending on what you’re looking for. I booked in January for ₹9,500 per night plus taxes. Mr. Ujval told me the hotel was fully booked and that standard rooms were available on a first-come, first-served basis. A friend was visiting from Delhi, so I didn’t want to miss the chance and went ahead with the reservation. At check-in, though, I saw the hotel website listed ₹7,000 per night and a weekend rate of ₹6,500. I asked staff about the roughly ₹3,000-per-night difference and was told online prices differed from walk-in or telephone bookings. Manager Mr. Sunil T’s explanation wasn’t very clear, and I found the interaction less courteous than I expected.
