Metro Palace Mini-hotel

The location is perfect, with eateries and the sea close enough to walk to. The rooms are comfortable and okay, and the staff are friendly and helpful. A good choice if you’re traveling solo or as a couple.

The bathroom stinks and the coffee cups weren’t washed. When we extended the room from 9am, they kept calling every 30 min for payment. For 6000re, you could add 1000 or 2000rs and stay in start hotel. This feels like a 1500rs hotel. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The location and accessibility are the only real positives. I booked for my family and was very disappointed with the setup. It’s a lodge, and I don’t think it should be called a hotel. One room was in terrible condition, and when I asked to change it, they said the place was fully booked. There’s a Wifi portal, but every device needs its own voucher from the front desk. The place also looks nothing like the Google photos. At check-in, the front desk told me there was no onsite restaurant, though they could arrange food for the room. Yet the Google pictures show a dining area, and booking.com describes a multi-cuisine restaurant. In Mumbai or not, that feels seriously misleading. If there’s no cafe or restaurant, they should remove those pictures and claims instead of duping customers. The front desk staff were helpful and got us checked in quickly, but the person I think was the manager didn’t acknowledge us.

We stayed here on a trip to the USA embassy and found the hotel a good fit for the three of us. The rooms, bathrooms, and hotel were clean, and the location was nice. There’s shopping within 400 m, plus a bus station and Bandra railway station nearby for getting around. The receptionist boys were especially polite and cooperative, and helped us a lot. I’d read some negative reviews beforehand and wasn’t sure we’d be comfortable, but we felt good once we arrived. We didn’t eat there, not even breakfast, since we prefer only veg. Kitchen. We’ve already recommended it to family and would recommend it to friends and family in future. It’s a good place to stay.
