OYO 11917 Hotel Symphony Grand

I stayed six nights and enjoyed it. The room was big enough for me, though I might have wanted a larger one if there were two of us. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked great, and the hot water was hot. I didn’t try the breakfast, so I can’t comment on it. I was new to Mumbai and the friendly staff made things easy. They even walked me to find whatever I needed. I don’t know the town, but I was glad to find food, electronics, gifts, pharmacy items, passport photos, office supplies, and other things nearby. The metro is close too.

It’s a “kaam chalao” hotel. The rooms are okay, but very small and a bit untidy. Service is good overall, though it depends on who’s at the front desk. Samruddhi is great at her job and knows how to treat guests. The rest of the staff are good too.

I checked out at midnight on the very same day. The room smelled dirty, wasn’t clean, and the room service was poor. The receptionist was rude and refused to let my aunt’s visitors meet her, even though she’d come from the U.K. They don’t seem to value guests at all, just the money, and there was no greeting or welcome. I wouldn’t book here unless they improve. The service was so bad I don’t even want to give it one star.

The hotel was mediocre, with unclean bedsheets, an only okay toilet, and warm water that took several minutes to come through each time. I booked through the OYO app, but the manager refused to honor the OYO rate. Since I was in a hurry, carrying luggage, and couldn’t look for somewhere else, I had to cancel that booking and pay the regular price. If they have a problem with OYO, guests shouldn’t have to deal with that kind of hassle. Don’t go, pay more for a better place.
