I booked through Agoda and paid by credit card, but at the hotel the man there said they don’t work with Agoda and demanded another 2000 rupees. The booking website even showed Agoda sponsorship, which made the whole thing feel like a scam. I tried reaching Agoda, but getting past its AI system was a nightmare. I ended up taking the loss. ☹️

The room was filthy and unhygienic, the bathroom was in poor shape, and the surrounding area wasn’t good either. The AC didn’t work properly, and they didn’t provide an AC remote. A really bad hotel and a very bad experience.

The staff talked loudly late into the night and kept us awake. We only stayed because we were already out and had no choice then. I blame Oyo and the other apps for listing this lodge just to make money. The entrance is nearly by a drain, and there’s no ventilation in the room. The geyser was broken, so he brought hot water in a bucket. There were loose electrical switches and a damaged bathroom mug. Booking showed about 1365 plus taxes, but he charged 1600. He didn’t give me a bill, saying he’d send it on WhatsApp, but it never arrived, so it seems the lodge avoids the tax.

The rooms were only okay, and not up to standard. There’s no lift, which makes the stairs hard for older people. Water was leaking, the beds and towels were dirty, and the bathroom was filthy with no basic toiletries. Even with a heater, there was no hot water. They didn’t provide drinking water either, and charged me for checking in early. I’m really disappointed with this stay. Think twice before booking.
