OYO 62882 Villa Palace

The room was decent enough, but the 2x classic was so cramped that I wonder how small the cheaper rooms must be. For the fairly high price, it felt average. There’s no kitchen in the hotel, no coffee or steamer, and the water heater holds very little. They don’t accept cards, and there were no glasses or water in the room.

It’s a budget place with small rooms, probably fine for a night or two in Mumbai. The staff were quick and really courteous, helped a lot with my luggage, and even let me leave it in the lobby after checkout. The New Airport Metro station is right below the hotel, with good connections to the locals too.

I ended up waiting around with my luggage and calling hotel after hotel, since it was a weekend and everywhere nearby seemed full. I eventually found a basic room, but it cost three times as much. This happened after I booked this place through booking.com: they said they had stopped partnering with Oyo and couldn't host me, even though the listing looked like any other Oyo hotel. Oyo customer care couldn't help either. Don't book online here.

They eventually gave me a room after about half an hour of arguing, but it wasn't worth what I paid. I had already booked and paid, yet they said every room was taken, blaming Oyo for not transferring the money to them on time. Also, the place has changed its name to villa palace. The staff were pathetic.
