I’d already decided after my Mumbai stay last year that I’d stop booking with Oyo, and even deleted the app from my phone. This time, several things went wrong again, as they usually do. The room was cramped and stinking, with unpainted walls and furniture shoved in wherever it fit. The sofa was filthy. The bathroom faucet was installed so awkwardly that I couldn’t get it out to wash myself after using the toilet. The inside door knob was so close to me in the tiny bathroom that I hurt myself three times. Water came out of the AC or sprinkler whenever it started, so I turned it off and tried the fan instead. The fan spun but didn’t blow any air. I told the staff at check-in that I had to leave at 7:30 am and would need breakfast. They agreed, then someone on duty refused to provide it that morning. I tried calling reception, but the phone buttons wouldn’t press. The app let me request service, but a staff member said requests took at least an hour to arrive. I called Oyo and Mr Jitendra put me on hold, then disconnected without helping. When I called again and he picked up, he said the reception phone wasn’t reachable. Very convenient. The location was pathetic to reach. MMT and other services should consider that customers may be new to the city and unfamiliar with its layout, so they don’t get lost. But I guess you only need to scale up and make more money. Why wasn’t I given a GST compliant bill? Is what you’re doing legal? I don’t think so. I need the GST levied bill. Please make sure you provide it, otherwise there will be legal repercussions. That’s a request, not a threat. It was a stupid decision to use your services. I won’t make that mistake again, and I won’t let others do it either. At the price I paid, MMT was a much better deal.

The rooms were clean and neat, and the staff behaved well. But they weren’t ready at check-in, so a lot of people had to wait.

The rooms need maintenance, and the service was pathetic. The hotel is situated in front of a slum. Be prepared to follow up multiple times for anything you need.

Room service was poor, but the rooms were neat and clean and the hotel itself was good. Otherwise everything was okay. You can eat outside.
