Sts Hometel

I spent 3 days at STS HOMETEL, and it felt like a real home with all the facilities. The HOST and caretaker were friendly and helpful, and made it feel homely. You can tour the good surroundings, including temple, filmcity, oberoi mall, mumbai exibition center and center of city. This was my first homestay, and I came away with a very good experience and a much stronger urge to stay at one again!

The rooms are pretty good and have AC, but I ran into several problems. Water was blocked in the bathroom, and although there's wifi, the people working there didn't know the password. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

The inside is comparatively good, though the exterior looks shabby. There's a caretaker, but the owners or managers weren't staying there. I booked through Agoda and paid extra for early check in, almost Rs 100/- per hour. It's on a busy street near the market, and could suit people working in Goregaon East.

I wouldn't recommend booking sts hometel. I saw the actual room after my company booked it from Delhi and asked for a change, but they refused and wouldn't return the money, saying it was against policy. I'm not sure how I was supposed to manage for 4 to 5 days. My partner got sick because of the room environment, which was very bad. The room itself was in terrible condition, with no TV, fridge, phone service, or washroom slippers. The cupboard had no lock or handle, and the main room door had no lock either. There were insects in the washroom, and the service was very bad.
