Hotel Royal Residency

Service was good, and otherwise the hotel is okay. Rates start at 2100 and go up to 3k, with the lowest price being for the smallest room. Some bugs bit me during the night, so I couldn't sleep.

The location is prime and very accessible, but the rooms are very small. I found cockroaches, and the geyser wasn't working. Make sure you check the price and add another 150 to 200 in your mind before booking. You'll have to pay the helpers there even if you don't speak to them or ask for anything.

You can find a ride anywhere in Mumbai from this spot, right on the Chembur crossroads. There's also a very popular south Indian restaurant right beside the hotel, and rightly so. The owners were the exception, but the other employees were polite and well mannered. The rooms were small and stuffy, nothing like the pictures.

They took payment for a second room after putting our third person there, even though the website had accepted payment and a booking for three people in one room. When we arrived, they said they couldn't accommodate three in one room and behaved badly. It was a very pathetic hotel and the worst experience. Never book.
