Devonshire Greens

The restaurant staff were kind and helpful, and the food was decent, but those positives didn't make up for the problems. Our bathroom water clogged, the door was difficult to open and close, and the AC was so loud that staff brushed it off as “normal.” We booked a “valley view” room well in advance and paid extra after planning this vacation for seven months. Instead, trees blocked the view, which was completely different from what the website promised. Several other guests had similar complaints about the room descriptions. The front desk staff were kind, but didn't seem trained to deal with guest concerns effectively. Despite the promising Google reviews and photos, our stay at Devonshire Green in Munnar was a total disappointment and fell far below expectations. I wouldn't recommend it. There are plenty of other options in Munnar that could offer a much better experience, so think twice before booking.

A waterfall makes a lovely outing, and there's one about a 2km walk away. At Devonshire Greens, we also had a spacious lawn for outdoor activities, a fun games room, and a modern gym. The mountain views and relaxing atmosphere made it a great retreat. The food was exceptionally tasty, with plenty of variety. Staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond by arranging a surprise anniversary celebration for us, which made the stay even more special.

The room was exceptionally clean and had a breathtaking valley view. You can hear the nearby Attukad waterfalls, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere. The hotel is tucked into the mountains, just 10 minutes from Main Munnar city, and has plenty of parking. Breakfast was complimentary and had a great spread. The staff were incredibly hospitable and made our stay even more enjoyable. A great spot for a peaceful break close to nature.

My sister and her partner visited last week after I gifted them a honeymoon package, and they were extremely happy with the service. They loved the candle light dinner arrangement, the tea plantations, and the short hike to the waterfall. They also enjoyed the cooking demonstration. The property was beautiful and very clean, with a well-equipped room, delicious food, and friendly staff who were happy to help. The location and ambience were great, and the hospitality was wonderful. Overall, it was a nice hotel.
