Eastend Munnar

Parking was ample, which is a real advantage in such a central spot, and we didn’t have to worry about our vehicle’s safety. Eastend Hotel is right in the heart of Munnar, handy for local markets and attractions like Blossom Park and the Tea Museum, yet the atmosphere stays peaceful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained, a comfortable place to return to after sightseeing. Staff were professional, polite, and quick to help. Meals were fresh, delicious, and offered a good variety. A good choice for families or solo travelers wanting an easy stay in town.

I’ve been coming here for years, even before they built the new wing. The staff, from the manager to the room maid and restaurant team, are exceptionally friendly. Rooms are spacious and always super clean. It’s only a 5-minute walk from the center, so outside you’re right in town and it can get very loud. Still, the noise insulation is excellent once you shut the balcony door. I’ll definitely come again, it suits all my personal needs.

I stayed from 21.05.26 to 23.05.26. We arrived for our booking at 1 PM, although checkout is at 12, and the reception just said the rooms weren’t ready. They seemed unapologetic. We waited an hour, then got a shabby room with a broken electric kettle and no toilet paper, so I had to call reception. At night, I waited 15 minutes for a bottle of water. Nobody came to clean the room the next day or even asked about it. Staff and service were highly unprofessional. The food was average, and the buffet was repetitive. The hotel seems to rely on tour operators and bulk reservations. Its strengths are the location and good parking for many vehicles, but if you want a good hill station experience, choose another hotel.

The location was a big reason I picked Eastend Hotel. It’s in Munnar town, close to the bus stand, auto stand, and other local spots, which was very convenient since I didn’t have my own vehicle. Staff were cooperative and handled our requests well. There was a small room issue at check-in, but they changed rooms straight away without any fuss. They also kindly allowed a slightly late checkout. A good option for a comfortable stay with easy access around Munnar.
