Le Montfort Resort

We found Le Montfort Resort relaxing and memorable, with a serene feel from the lush greenery and nature around it. The property was very well maintained, the rooms were clean, and the common areas were thoughtfully kept. Staff were warm, courteous, and ready to help, with prompt, professional service. The in-house restaurant had tasty food and a pleasant dining atmosphere. The resort is somewhat secluded, and the approach roads can be challenging because it sits on top of a hill, so good driving skills are recommended if you come by car. A few things could make the stay better: more lighting around the viewpoints and outdoor walking areas at night for safety and atmosphere, more seating near scenic spots, and additional recreational amenities and outdoor activities for guests who want things to do on the property.

The restaurant team deserves a special mention. Tiju, Akshay, anamika and chef Akhil arranged customised food to suit our needs, and we really appreciated it. The rooms are roomy and look out over hills and forest, which feels so peaceful. The staff were warm, the setting is beautiful, and the hospitality was excellent. Thanks for making our stay memorable. I’d definitely recommend it for a getaway.

We were there for three nights at the end of Dec 25 for a wedding, with every room booked, and the service still ran smoothly. Room service arrived faster than I’ve experienced at other resorts, and staff kept up with the rooms spread across the property. The team handled everything quickly and efficiently, with a great attitude. The food was consistently good with plenty of variety, and our room was clean and nicely furnished. It’s also a beautiful setting and a lovely wedding venue. Thanks to manager Arun and his team. We’d be happy to come back.

The people at Le Montfort made my eight days here feel special. Everyone, from the people cleaning the rooms and caring for the grounds to the front gate sentinels, restaurant and kitchen staff, front desk, managers and General Manager, seemed to work together with real kindness. Rakhi, the wonderful tour guide executive, and the attentive team helped make the stay memorable. I felt looked after without having to seek anyone out or wait for help. It was there, almost like magic. I tried three different rooms and suites. One had a jungle view and the sounds of nature right from the balcony, another was a south facing suite overlooking the valley, and I nicknamed the one facing the garden and valley the James Bond suite. The front desk made changing rooms easy, and I felt welcomed and treated like royalty. The drive up through Munnar and the winding mountain roads was an adventure, with a “wow” view around every turn before reaching this secluded spot. From the hotel, the surrounding mountains and valley below are incredible. I was greeted at the entrance by India’s Most Beautiful pageant members :) and felt the peace of the place straight away. This was my first trip to India. I’ve travelled to many places and live in a tourist destination, but I’ve never received so many smiles. The genuine kindness made me feel as if I’d already made friends. There aren’t many countries I’d revisit, but I’d return to India, and 100% to Le Montfort. The team’s passionate camaraderie feels like a close family, all working to treat guests and one another gently and kindly. Thank you for eight days of peace of mind and vitamins for my soul. I’m grateful. Bless up and give thanks.
