OYO 23561 Mystique Resort

We loved the place, and Manshad’s kind behaviour added a lot to our trip. He did everything he could to help us feel comfortable. Thank you, Manshad. Your patience at such a young age makes me think you’ll go far in life. Lots of love and blessings ❤️

The room was good, the washroom was clean, and toiletries were provided. Our bed was too small for three people, but they brought an extra mattress and pillow when we asked. There were problems with the water. Sometimes there was no hot water, and sometimes no regular water either. We had to call the hotel manager or owner multiple times to get it running. The room is 15 km from Munnar old town, which isn’t clearly mentioned. It’s quite far, and the traffic on the way to Munnar can be heavy. We also found lots of black ants, crickets, and small grasshoppers inside the room. The resort can arrange a cab if you want one, but they don’t pressure you to use it. I’d suggest avoiding it for sightseeing, since the driver was sly and only took us to places where tickets were involved.

The rooms were filthy, the sheets looked used, the washrooms were disgusting, and the whole property seemed neglected and unhygienic. Cleanliness, maintenance, and professionalism from the staff were all completely lacking. Mystique Resort hardly deserves to be called a resort. Things felt dirty, chaotic, and uncomfortable from the moment I arrived. The place didn’t match the online photos at all, which I found misleading. The reality was horrible, and I truly regret booking here. It ruined my trip. I strongly advise people not to book this hotel under any circumstances. Save your money and time, and spare yourself this nightmare of a stay.

A really comfortable stay, with nice rooms and good service. The atmosphere was pleasant, and it felt completely safe for girls. A must-stay.
