The room was very ordinary, with no fan and no AC options. I paid around 2.3K for one night, even though I had booked a top-floor room, and it simply wasn't worth that. I'd put its value at around 1.5K or less. Parking fits only 3 vehicles, so if it's full you'll have to leave the car roadside. The view in the Google picture isn't what most rooms get. Hardly a few rooms can see the trees, as 2 floors are in the basement, the ground floor is at road level, and 2 floors are above. The receptionist and other staff were really friendly, and the service was good. I arrived around 9 pm with my family and kid and needed somewhere for the night. It could be a reasonable pick at a good budget price, but otherwise there are really good 3 star hotels around 3k in Munnar. I moved to another hotel for 2 more nights after this one.

We booked through MakeMyTrip and had a pretty unpleasant stay. The room was clean, but it was in Basement 2, with no network and no Wi-Fi signal. The TV seemed to be there just for show. Parking is another issue. At least it's near to town.

The staff were helpful, but that doesn't make up for missing basic facilities. The bathroom stinks, the water keeps getting blocked, and hot water isn't available during the stated hours. I'd ask people not to stay here.

Our family trip to Munnar, planned after a long gap, gave us one of our most unforgettable days together. We took the whole main building at Emerald inn and stayed for 2 nights. There's lush greenery all around, the rooms are clean, and the staff are very friendly. They guided us every step of the way, so thanks to every one of them. Food service was good, though expensive.
