Monsoon Grande

We found the indoor play area with carrom, chess, and pool a nice way to spend some free time. The peaceful setting also makes this a good option for families and honeymoon couples wanting to be close to nature. It sits about 1.5 km in from the main road, along a narrow but maintained road. Walking there can be difficult, so a personal vehicle or taxi is useful. The hill and tea plantation views are lovely, especially early in the morning when the mist rolls in. Our room was spacious, clean, and well kept, with big windows for natural light, and the staff were courteous and helpful. The food was good, although vegetarian choices were limited. More variety there would make the stay even better. It was a pleasant, relaxing stay, and with that food improvement it could feel like a 5-star experience.

The manager upgraded our deluxe booking to a suite at no charge, and it was beautiful, especially the balcony and the view. We also had a good time in the gaming area. The manager and the rest of the staff were so polite. I wish we could have stayed another day. Such a lovely hotel with really nice staff. I'd recommend it to everyone, 11/10 from me.

We stayed for 3 nights with family in May 2026. Our grande suite was very good, with a nice tea garden view, and service was prompt. The staff were warm and supportive. It's a bit far from the main city, which suits anyone wanting somewhere calm and serene. The breakfast selection is somewhat limited, but if you ask for egg, they'll quickly make it fresh.

The tea plantations and the views around Monsoon Grande make for a great setting. The staff were the most helpful we came across during our stay in different cities in Kerala. Reception, the manager, and restaurant team all made sure we were comfortable, and the restaurant had a variety of delicious food served with real warmth. Great job, team Monsoon Grande.
