The food and ambience were good, and I would've rated the experience above 4 stars. I'd even planned to leave a 10% tip. But at payment they didn't give the exact change or return 5 rupees, and said nothing about it. It wasn't the amount that bothered me, it was being taken for granted. If they'd just explained they didn't have change, I would've gladly accepted it. I hope the owner sees this and addresses these service issues.

The Paneer Biryani was tasty, with flavors spot on, and was one of the better ones in town. It was a bit oily. A good place if you're after authentic Andhra spices.

The hotel is attractive and in an excellent location, but dinner was disappointing and we didn't enjoy the food. The biriyani was okay. We also ordered a chicken platter, which had a good number of pieces, but they looked like they'd been taken out of some curry and served. It was extremely pungent and hot, with too much green chilies.

There was sheep hair visibly stuck to the meat in the mutton biryani, a bunch of it. It was revolting and completely unhygienic, and I almost threw up. This is a serious food safety issue. I strongly warn others to avoid this place.

Prices are on the high side and don't feel fully worth what you get. The Mutton Biryani and Chicken Biryani at Hotel Diyanvi both had good taste and flavor. Chilli Chicken was too hot and spicy for my liking, while the Chicken Lollipop was just okay. Fine for a one-time visit.
