The staff were extremely helpful and polite, and the watchmen deserve a special mention for taking amazing photos, almost like professionals. Being a guest meant we could wander through the whole palace, which is stunning and grand. The complimentary breakfast was delicious; we also had the Royal Thali for lunch, which was just okay. Some rooms need maintenance and don't fully feel like a royal palace. The bathroom door was damaged, and the plastic Neelkamal chairs on the balcony felt disappointing for a heritage property of this level. Even so, staying here and exploring the palace was worth doing at least once.

At Lalitha Mahal Palace in Mysore, the ₹100 entry ticket lets visitors see the beautiful ground floor. There are antique collections, royal architecture, vintage interiors, and plenty of historic charm. They also offered visitors complimentary biscuits, tea, and coffee, which made the visit nicer. Walking through the place feels like stepping back into Mysore's royal past. A great stop for anyone who enjoys history, architecture, or heritage sites.

The property feels calm, and strolling around at night is nicer since the morning brings crowds of visitors. Breakfast in the beautiful hall is memorable, though I expected more from a five-star hotel. Staying in the former Maharaja of Mysuru's residence is a different sort of experience, but it has its flaws. The palace is majestic and spacious, with a white exterior and colorful interiors. The paintings, ruler portraits, and surrounding garden add to the look. Rooms are decent in size and have basic amenities in an old-fashioned style, though some things don't work properly. There's a beautiful bathtub taking up half the bathroom, but it's just for show. Maintenance and service need improvement for the tariff being charged.

The helpful, attentive staff and well-prepared food, with local and multi-cuisine choices, made the stay feel welcoming. Dining in its setting adds to the royal atmosphere. Lalitha Mahal Palace is now part of Jungle Lodges & Resorts, whose organized experiences and nearby attraction access make the trip feel more curated and seamless than a typical heritage hotel visit. The palace's grand architecture, elegant interiors, and peaceful gardens create a relaxing setting against Mysuru's historic backdrop. Staying in the spacious rooms with high ceilings and classic décor feels like stepping into another era, while still having modern comforts. A distinctive option if you want royal heritage, comfort, good food, and Jungle Lodges & Resorts hospitality.

The setting is peaceful, and the staff and food are good, though both could use an update. Beds are fine, but the bathrooms are very dated and there are cobwebs. The palace itself looks impressive; the rooms fall short of that. It might suit a one-night visit to explore the building, but the property needs a major overhaul. I wouldn’t pay extra for it or expect a three-star stay, let alone five-star.
