Hotel Majesty Palace

The biggest shock was the manager's response. Instead of helping, he was argumentative and dismissive. Sending a guest away at 10:30 PM without a proper solution showed no professionalism or empathy. I had a confirmed booking for an overnight stay, with check-in on the 4th and checkout on the 5th. But when I arrived at 10:30 PM, they said it was only a day-use booking from 12 PM to 6 PM and denied me a room. That condition hadn't been clearly mentioned when I booked, and nobody called to confirm my arrival. If the check-in window was limited, a call would have been basic courtesy. Because of this mismanagement I had to book another hotel immediately, which cost me around ₹16,000. The whole situation could have been avoided with proper communication. For a property that claims high standards, this was extremely disappointing and mentally stressful.

The location was ideal, close to the airport and major business areas, but quiet enough to relax. Breakfast had a good variety, and the food was fresh and tasty. I appreciated the hotel's attention to cleanliness and hygiene too. During my visit to Mumbai, I found the rooms spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with great comfort after a long day. The staff were very polite, especially Mr. Vikas, who was so nice and helpful and always ready to assist with a smile. It was a great-value, excellent stay, and I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mumbai for business or leisure.

The rooms are large and clean, and the housekeeping staff are friendly and cooperative. It's also convenient for Ambani hospital and a couple of large malls. But the corridors needed cleaning, and calling this place five-star feels exaggerated. It's right on the roadside and hard to spot, so I'd give it three stars at best. The receptionists need training. Some act like house detectives, saying things like, "You will not have strangers in your room after 8 PM!" or "You have exceeded your allowance; come down and clear the extra charges!" A 10% service charge is automatically added to the food bill. I thought that was illegal?

The room has all the necessary amenities, and the mini-bar is stocked with different things, from snacks to drinks. It's very clean, and the washroom is spotless. I've been at the Svenska Design Hotel for several days now, and what I like best is the staff. Mr. Shumal and the butler team greet you with a smile and say good evening or good morning, which is really nice. Their English is good too.
