OYO 66837 Anurah Residency

The rate is reasonable, but the basic facilities need work. Housekeeping and laundry were inadequate, and there was no proper maintenance. My room hadn't been cleaned well before I got it, and it seems nobody checks the room before handing it over. The bedsheets and pillow covers looked used.

The place was okay, but dealing with the staff was a hassle. I booked through MakeMyTrip, and at check-in they demanded an extra Rs 150 for sanitization. I refused, and we had to argue with customer care before their intervention let me check in. The room wasn't very hygienic, the blanket was a little dirty, and the bathroom was okay.

The room smelled bad, the bathroom was dirty and stinking, and the paint was peeling. Nothing had been cleaned or sanitized. I stayed anyway because I'd already paid online. When I checked in on 30th Oct, there was no AC. They blamed old Covid guidelines and said AC wasn't allowed. The price showed 3151 before discount, yet you can get a 4 star hotel for that amount, or find better rooms near the bustop for 700rs. No toiletries were provided, and after they said a water bottle would arrive in 30 minutes, there was no follow-up. I had to chase them about breakfast before they checked my booking details. The app gave me an error when I tried to leave a rating. Shameless OYO, and they're planning to go for an IPO. How low can you get?

The staff were arrogant and refused to move me to another room. The AC listed when I booked didn't work at all. I checked in late without looking over the room or washroom, then went out. When I came back and saw the bathroom, I felt cheated. I politely told the receptionist it wasn't clean, and he said all the rooms were like that. One of the worst stays I've had in Mysore.
