When we arrived, nobody was around for nearly 20 minutes, and just one room boy seemed to be handling everything. They checked us in before we had even seen the room, so we couldn't cancel. Inside, the door had no lock, the sheets were dirty, the AC was broken and looked like a 1947 model, and there were cockroaches. Don't trust the room pictures on their website or Google. This was the worst stay I've ever had.

There was no hot water, and the beds creaked because they were old and had no solid base. The sheets weren't clean either. These are terrible rooms in a very old property. Please don't pick this place when visiting such a beautiful city.

Parking was a major headache. There was no dedicated guest parking, and restaurant visitors had taken up the area. We had to wait until midnight for them to move their cars. WiFi was also missing despite being advertised. The room basics were poor too: the bed and mattress were extremely uncomfortable, there was just one towel, no bathroom mat, and no listed toiletries. There was no wardrobe or even a hook for clothes. Bedside sockets didn't work, and in the other room we booked, none of the sockets worked at all. The TV and AC were completely nonfunctional, just showpieces. We reported it, and staff said they'd send a housekeeper, but nobody came, even after I asked the housekeeper directly. They didn't seem to care about guest comfort. From the facilities to the staff attitude, the whole stay was disappointing. Management was unresponsive and the place lacked basic hospitality standards. I deeply regret booking here and strongly advise others to avoid it.

The only thing in the room that worked was the ceiling fan, and even that ran only at full speed. The AC was out, the switch was broken, and even the so-called hot water was just lukewarm. On the first floor, the walls looked awful, paint was peeling, switches were broken, and the room service phone was dead with no dial tone. Old things and used clothes had been dumped right in front of the main door. The receptionist knew nothing about basic courtesy and didn't help find us another room. The property's 4.9 rating on the Oyo app is fake, in my view. One of the ugliest, most unhygienic places I've stayed. See the attached photos, and don't bring your family or waste your money.
