The Windflower Resorts & Spa Mysore

The landscaped grounds are lovely, especially the many bougainvillea plants that give the resort a tropical feel. It's beautiful and fairly central, the restaurant serves good food, and the amphitheatre is a nice touch. But several infrastructure problems affected our stay. We were given first-floor rooms with no lift access, and frequent power cuts shut off the AC and made the rooms uncomfortable. There was also a prolonged outage at 5:00 AM, with nobody at reception to explain what was happening. The archery equipment and facilities seemed poorly maintained. Parking gets very scarce at peak times because the restaurant is popular with outside guests. The place has a lot of potential, but needs better maintenance and power backup.

The food was nice, and the outdoor shower was a pleasant extra. The pool was clean and decent, but it didn't feel fun. Rooms need renovation, and the play area isn't looked after. This seems better suited to older people who want quiet; youngsters may find it dull and boring. They charge extra for nearly every basic need, so I didn't think the stay was worth the price. It could work for someone who wants real silence and doesn't mind the unrenovated rooms.

The chef came around during each meal to see if everyone was enjoying the food, which was the best part for me. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the atmosphere felt gentle and relaxing. It really is surrounded by nature, with deer walking through at night.

Around 12:30am, the AC temperature needed adjusting, and Ms. Chaitra at reception and the maintenance person came after one call and sorted it out. They were very courteous and helpful. I had a comfortable stay at Windflower resort, and the experience was fantastic. Thanks to the Windflower resorts team. I'll definitely visit again, and wish them a successful year ahead.
