The staff were courteous, and the room cleaning and service were very good. We also enjoyed the food, though it was a little expensive, and the outdoor lawn seating with an open bar. It's a big, kid-friendly family hotel with a good play area, and the room we booked was very spacious. The main problem was the room's condition. Despite the generous size, it was poorly maintained, with peeling paint, damage and dim lighting. The master bedroom toilet was completely broken and stayed unusable throughout our visit, even after we asked for it to be repaired or replaced. The lift in the three-floor property is small, so people often had to wait a long time. Apart from the room maintenance, we had a very good experience, especially with the staff, food and restaurant.
We stopped at Royal Inn for lunch, and the old restaurant's lawn looked inviting. The large trees made it feel peaceful, and I imagine the lights and outdoor seating are lovely in the evening. We ordered lots of food. Most of it was really tasty: the mutton pulav was full of flavour, paneer 65 and chicken ghee roast were nice, kadai paneer with garlic naan was amazing, and the fried rice was good. The mutton chops were a bit soupy, which I didn't like as much. They serve alcoholic drinks and beer. Service was just average until the senior local head waiter stepped in. A nice spot for a relaxed get-together if you're not in a hurry.
The garden around the hotel gives it a peaceful feel, even though it's near a busy street. It's calm and clean, and both the food and service were very good. A nice place to stay in Mysuru.
We recently held a party here, and the spacious setting was good. Things started off well, but by the end Mr. Chandru wouldn't give us some of the items left over, not even a cutlet or Jamoon, despite us having paid for them. That left us disappointed. We'll have to look elsewhere next time.
This is my go-to hotel when I visit Mysore. The staff are so friendly and attentive, and their warm hospitality made the stay special. The food was excellent, with plenty of options and good quality dishes. I found the spacious, well-maintained rooms comfortable and relaxing. A great mix of comfort and good food. Highly recommended!
